With this order you are receiving 2lbs of fresh local Stone Crab par cooked on the boat and flash frozen to preserve freshness. Brought to us weekly every Friday afternoon and available to you on Saturday farm market drive-thru from 10am - 4pm
Prices for crab will vary. As of now we are fortunate to have this elusive product at You Farm. As supply increase we will do our best to offer the most competitive price on the market. Enjoy!!
Cooking and Serving instructions
Keep in mind 2lbs of stone crab will yield approximately 1lb of meat
Cook crab within 24 to 48 hours of bringing it home from the farm
If you do not plan on cooking it within a couple days of purchasing please freeze and serve at your convenience.
Leave crab sit out in the sink or counter top for about 1 hour prior to cooking.
Bring large sauce pan of water to a rolling boil. Season the water with your favorite herbs and seasons or leave it as is. We like old bay seasoning and salt.
Drop crab claws in boiling water for approximately 10mins.
After 10minutes remove from boiling water at let sit until ready to serve. FYI: Some people choose to immediately run them under cold water after removing from boiling water to stop them from cooking further.
Serve at room temperature or on ice with cocktail sauce or mustard sauce. Both recipes can be easily found online.
